University Cultural Center

The University Cultural Center is a space created and developed by the University of Guadalajara. It comprises the Telmex Auditorium, the Bicentennial Square, the Jalisco State Public Library, the Center for Transdisciplinary Instrumentation and Services, the Performing Arts Ensemble, the Museum of Environmental Sciences and the Contemporary Arts Hall. Currently the first three venues are open to the public, while the rest are still under construction.

Since 2001 the University of Guadalajara began the prospecting and development of what seeks to be one of the best cultural centers in the world, with a design and architecture aimed towards facilitating exchange while promoting a sense of community and identity.
