Vía RecreActiva Zapopan

This project takes place every Sunday, on which some of the city’s busiest roads are transformed into recreational areas where you can run, ride bicycles or skates, jog, or just enjoy a nice stroll around the city while spending some time with your family.
Vía RecreActiva is divided into two areas and six routes: The North Area, which consists of two routes: Tabachines and Basilica; and the Southern Area with four routes: Primavera, La Calma, Tepeyac and Beethoven. Vía RecreActiva also holds all sorts of children’s activities, cultural events and free classes. You can also find “macro” game areas and a space devoted solely to musical expression. The “Via” is pet friendly, so it is common to see some people in the company of their dogs.
One of the activities available during the opening hours is the “Cycle Tour”, which consists of a bike ride during which a tour guide explains and tells the story of some of the city’s most important and representative landmarks. It is advisable to check the website to confirm the available activities and their schedules.
